VO2 MAX TEST! 🫠🔥

Description

The protocol: start at 5 kph on a 1% incline, then increase the speed by 1 kph every minute until you physically can't go any further. I made it to 17 kph and held it for a full minute before calling quits.

My results:→ VO2 max: 51.9 ml/kg/min (top 10% for my age)→ Max heart rate: 181 bpm→ Anaerobic threshold: 160 bpm at 12 kph

The biggest takeaway for me was that I'm burning more carbs than fat, even at easy paces. After a lot of high-intensity work, it's a clear sign to bring in more steady zone 2 cardio and build that aerobic base.

If you're curious about your own fitness, I'd really recommend getting one done. You'll know your real heart rate zones, and exactly what to work on.
