The first minutes after the dinosaurs went extinct.
Sixty-six million years ago, the Earth experienced one of the most cataclysmic events in its history: the KT extinction, or Cretaceous-Paleogene extinction event, which marked the end of the dinosaurs and reshaped the trajectory of life on Earth.
This mass extinction, caused by a combination of catastrophic events, eradicated nearly seventy five percent of all species on the planet, including the non-avian dinosaurs that had dominated for over one hundred and sixty million years.
The extinction event not only ended the reign of the dinosaurs but also paved the way for mammals, including humans, to rise and eventually thrive.
