Description
This bodycam footage from Arlington Texas shows police officers responding to a call on 17 September 2026. In addition to domestic concerns, people in the home were concerned that the suspect, later identified as David Eversole, 56 years of age, had access to knives. Amid yelling and confirmation that another family member was in the room with Eversole, which presented a safety risk, the officers entered the home. They removed the family member from Eversole's reach. Eversole, visibly agitated, drew a large knife and ignored commands to put it down. As the officers attempted to back out and create distance, Eversole advanced, prompting an officer to shoot Eversole multiple times. Although aid was provided, first by the officers and then paramedics, Eversole died shortly after transport to an area hospital. No other persons were harmed. Viewer discretion is advised.
