The two stricken officers were were taken to an area hospital. One was released the following day, but the officer with the femoral injury- Sgt. Christian Ivanov- underwent two surgeries and was released a little over two weeks later on 18 June. He was escorted to a rehabilitation and physical therapy center by a full Honor Guard.
