Description
Footage shows a heavily modified M1 Abrams tank in service of the Ukrainian Armed Forces devastating a Russian-held tree line. The ever-present drone threat requires the main battle tank to be adorned with anti drone armor to protect its weak spots. In doing this it forces a "casemate" type situation in which the tank cannot rotate its turret, and the entire vehicle must be turned and maneuvered to aim its 120mm main gun.
In doing so, the Abrams is less accurate and slower to employ its weapon system. However, its survivability on the battlefield is prolonged, and it can still bring the thunder, as evidenced by the footage.
