This security camera to TV solution works with IP cameras and BNC CCTV cameras by connecting to the RTSP video stream(s) of Viewtron DVRs and NVRs. You can also use it to display live video from an IP camera on a TV without a DVR. The Viewtron IP-HDMI-D4 supports decoding up to 4 RTSP video streams from a DVR / NVR or from individual IP cameras without a DVR.
In this video, Mike from CCTV Camera Pros configures the IP to HDMI decoder to connect to one of the eight video streams from his NVR. Mike has 8 outdoor IP cameras installed at his house and wants to display a live view of his front yard camera on the TV in his living room. All eight IP cameras are hard wired to the PoE ports on the back of Mike's NVR.
In the video, Mike enables RTSP streams on his NVR so the video streams can be used by additional IP devices on his network, in this case the Viewtron IP to HDMI decoder box.
If you want to display more that 4 security cameras on your TV, you can use one of these Viewtron HDMI to IP encoder boxes with the decoder to send the entire HDMI video output of your security DVR / NVR to an HDMI TV. We are very excited about this new product. In the past, it was easy to use video splitters and BNC to HDMI converters to send video signals to spot monitor displays. But those all need to be hard wired and you were limited to BNC / CCTV cameras.
With the Viewtron IP camera to TV decoder, you no longer have to hard wire your camera to the TV. You can send the video signal over an IP network, and now you can use more modern IP cameras, including Viewtron AI cameras.
