Description
https://www.viewtron.com/IPTV - Here is a simple way to connect your IP camera to a TV for a live view without using a DVR. In this detailed video, Mike Haldas, co-founder of CCTV Camera Pros, introduces an innovative solution: the Viewtron IP camera to HDMI decoder. If you've ever wanted to view your security cameras live on one or multiple TVs, but didn't want the hassle (or expense) of a DVR or NVR, this device could be exactly what you need. And if you do also want to record video surveillance to a DVR, you can use the Viewtron IP camera to HDMI decoder with a recorder too.
This HDMI security camera solution works with all Viewtron IP cameras.

The HDMI to RTSP converter that enables you to transmit the entire HDMI output works with Viewtron IP Camera NVRs and Viewtron hybrid CCTV DVRs.

Throughout the video, Mike Haldas walks you through a variety of real-world use cases and practical setup examples using the IP to HDMI decoder box. Starting from the simplest scenario, you'll see how one IP camera can be connected to a TV using the decoder—no recorder necessary. The video also demonstrates more advanced installations, such as displaying multiple cameras simultaneously on a single TV, and adding multiple decoders to connect additional TV monitors.
If you want to use this in conjunction with video recording, Mike Haldas explains how you can centralize your camera recording using an NVR, while still displaying live view camera camera views at strategic locations—like a department store entrance, making customers aware of active surveillance. The Viewtron system is very flexible, allowing you to show different camera feeds on different TVs, or multiplex several cameras together. There’s also a look into sending your entire HDMI output from a recorder over an IP network, using the Viewtron HDMI to RTSP encoder.

You can even access your IP camera's RTSP stream from over the Internet to display a live view on a TV at a different location from where the camera is installed!
The Viewtron IP-HDMI-D4 is compatible with third-party IP cameras, in addition to all of the Viewtron IP cameras. As long as your camera provides access to a raw RTSP stream and is ONVIF compliant, it should work seamlessly with the Viewtron decoder. However, Mike Haldas makes an important note: some consumer-oriented cameras, like those from Ring, don’t provide access to these streams, which limits compatibility with Ring.
If you have older equipment or unique requirements, Mike Haldas and the CCTV Camera Pros team offer free consultations to help you design the perfect system for your needs. You can reach Mike directly at mike@viewtron.com.
