Compass with an automatic gearbox just got more affordable, as Jeep has plonked in the 9-speed AT on the entry-level Sport trim of the mid-size SUV. An optional accessory pack priced at Rs 29,900 adds additional kit to the mix. The accessory pack adds a swoosh decal on the exterior, along with mud flaps. The rest of the styling remains the same as before. The Jeep Compass Sport AT trim gets 17-inch wheels, black ORVMs with integrated turn indicators, and chrome inserts in the front grille. Inside, there are fabric inserts on the dashboard and door pads. The optional accessory pack adds ambient lighting and a dashcam to the SUV. In terms of features, the Jeep Compass Sport AT comes with an 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, steering-mounted controls, and electrically adjustable ORVMs. On the powertrain front, the Compass Sport AT is powered by a 2.0L four-cylinder diesel engine paired with a 9-speed AT, producing 171 BHP and 350 Nm of torque. At Rs 21.99 lakh ex-showroom, this is the most affordable automatic variant of the Compass currently on sale — deliveries commence in the second week of November.
