Description

I spent 10 years hiding my belly rolls from everyone.

I would only post photos of me standing up straight tensing and showing defined abs.

Maybe for some weird or unknown reason I thought skin rolls weren’t normal for fit & lean people and showing them would make people believe I didn’t have abs anymore. What a dumbo 🤣

This all sounds ridiculous right? How narcissistic and superficial. Well, the majority of the early stage of my fitness career was heavily focused on the aesthetic, the image. And I have some conditioning that requires some gentle dissolving around this 🙏

But as time has gone on that has been expanded more and more into all areas of health & wellbeing, which is great ☺️

But back to the belly rolls 😆 this is just a reminder of something we all already know - that what we post / see online is mostly the best looking content, which doesn’t accurately portray reality very much.

It’s a bit annoying that I have contributed a bit to that, however I have tried to stay very real, authentic and vulnerable along the way.

The paradoxical thing here is also that I might be showing my belly rolls in this video, but probabaly only because I was quite lean at the time.

There are times where my body fat creeps up a little bit, so would I show a video of my belly rolls then? Probabaly not. Maybe not yet in my journey anyway.

So again, maybe I’m just keeping to my old ways and only showing the highlights. Or maybe I’m taking a step in the right direction of not caring how I come across physically anymore. I dunno.

I don’t have any conclusion or resolution with this post, I’m just sharing an authentic thought dialogue, in hope that it resonates in some way…? 🤷‍♂️

And maybe it can spark some of your thoughts and comments? I’d love to hear from you ☺️
