Equipped with the Hemi, a Ram 3500 can handle up to 8,228 kg (18,140 lbs) maximum towing or up to 3,438 kg (7,580 lbs) maximum payload when properly configured. Swap the engine for a Cummins and those numbers change to 16,792 kg (37,020 lbs) maximum towing and up to 2,930 kg (6,460 lbs) maximum payload.
