Description
The 2027 BMW X5 debuts an all-new, fifth-generation mid-size luxury sport SUV comes with five powertrain choices; but just one in Canada for now.
Andrew McCredie tells us more about his time in the X5.
It's big, but nimble: Despite its mid-size SUV status, it is a big vehicle, with a presence made even more beefy with its new design, but it's also nimble with a ‘light’ feeling. Much more like an X3-sized vehicle in terms of handling and driving dynamics. That was the case in the gas and EV versions I drove, the latter perhaps a little less light due to its big battery pack.
Good EV range: The all-electric 60 xDrive has a maximum output of 578 ponies from that big 141 kWh battery pack. No North American range figures yet, but BMW is estimating in the 550-kilometre range.
