🇫🇮🇩🇪🇷🇺 KEY EVENT I:
This is the continuance of the German-Finnish Operation Platinum Fox, and while the Soviet side met heavy attacks at Litsa and Petsamo region, the other plan of Operation Arctic Fox (just South of Petsamo/Kola Peninsula) managed to break Soviet defences in Salla; ultimately forcing the Soviet forces to retreat said area, awaiting next opportnity to regain it.
🇩🇰🇩🇪 KEY EVENT II:
A year prior, the German forces invaded Denmark on 9 April of 1940, early as ca. 4 a.m. in morning. The Germany-Denmark border, along with important towns e.g. Haderslev and Aabenraa (Åbenrå) of Sønderjylland, was then met with difficult advancement. Despite Denmark's preparations of days prior, the nation surrendered after no more than 6 hours - which is (according to current documentation) the shortes battle of World War II, or else the losses would be way severe for the Danish nation.
💥🕺KEY EVENT III:
Now there's grounded strategical tactics of the German military during the war, such as the well-known "Blitzkrieg" and so on. A method to distract, mislead and confuse enemies (MILDEC) were more or less common, namely the times when the Americans for example used inflatable tanks to make the Axis forces believe that the Allies are present there. Of course were there multiple purposes to fool them this way or another.
But to jump right in front of the enemy and perform dances were unlikely an effective thing to do, though it sure is/was revolutionary.
