Days after the German-Finnish offensive of "Operation Platinum Fox", 'Generaloberst' Eduard Dietl's forces continues towards Soviet territory such as the (Zapadnaya) Litsa River, whereas Murmansk still remains the key objective. The rough infrastructure quality of the Kola Peninsula did not stop the Germans from pushing through over the Litsa river, especially by support of constructed bridgehead over it. But by the factor of heavy Soviet waves, Dietl and his men saw little to no improvement - iterate offensive plans and awaiting more reinforcements were at that point crucial.
