Synopsis:
A team of pioneering astronauts defies political opposition, technical setbacks, and public skepticism to launch the first rocket to the Moon. After a perilous journey through space, the crew successfully lands on the lunar surface, only to discover that a critical miscalculation has left them without enough fuel to bring everyone home.
Stranded nearly a quarter-million miles from Earth, the astronauts desperately search for ways to reduce the ship's weight.
