Yamaha has introduced the new 2027 RW350 adventure scooter in India. The new scooter features a 327cc engine, a purpose-built chassis and several features for touring abilities. With the 327cc engine makes it fall within the India’s revised 18 per cent GST bracket. True to it’s name as an adventure scooter, the RW350 sports an upright riding position, relatively tall bodywork, exposed handlebars and a substantial front section. Moreover, it features wide footpegs with heel guards and foldable footboards that let riders stretch their legs forward during longer journeys. Mechanically, the RW350 is powered by an all-new 327cc liquid-cooled single producing 28.5bhp at 7,000rpm and 31.5Nm at 5,750rpm. There are three Yamaha Ride Control modes, namely Street, Explore and Eco. The features on the scooter include a smart key system, Cruise control, a 5-inch colour TFT instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity through the Yamaha MyRide application, Garmin StreetCross integration that provides navigation and real-time traffic information, self-cancelling indicators and emergency stop signalling that activates the indicators during sudden braking. It also has Dynamic Ride engine layout which reduces unsprung mass to improve handling and stability. A four-axis balancer has been incorporated to reduce vibrations. The company claims fuel consumption of approximately 28.6kmpl under its stated test conditions.
