Description
Moto Guzzi has showcased its retro-inspired roadster, The Trip at the EICMA 2026 show in Milan. The Trip 500 is powered by a 500 cc parallel-twin, moving away from the brand’s traditional Guzzi transverse v-twin architecture, and is a combination of retro-inspired modern roadster styling with accessible mid-size performance and tech. So far, there’s no clear indication to that question, because Moto Guzzi has not yet announced specifications it positions the motorcycle as an everyday companion and its 500 cc engine to be equally capable of longer weekend excursions. The Trip 500 is said to combine agile and engaging handling along with accessible performance. With a kerb weight of 180 kg and 790 mm seat height, it should make for an easy to ride motorcycle with 47 bhp on tap, yet offer entertainment when needed. Key features include a 15-litre fuel tank, full LED headlight, a 3.6-inch circular TFT display with smartphone connectivity, and three ride modes. Like the Aprilia Tuono 457 Special Edition, a quickshifter is an optional accessory, and not standard, and even though officially The Trip 500 is said to be powered by a 500 cc parallel-twin engine, we won’t be surprised if it’s actually based on the Tuono 457.
