Most people think life is about being happy.

I don't.

In this round of the Hot Seat, we're doing unpopular opinions. I get handed a statement. I say what most people believe about it. Then I tell you what I actually think.

We start with happiness, and why it's a terrible north star. Happiness changes daily. One day it's matcha. The next day I just want my coffee. Integrity doesn't move like that.

Then physical attraction, which has far less to do with your abs than you've been told. Kevin Hart is 5'2". He walks into a room and everyone notices him anyway. That's not height. That's confidence. How you feel in your body matters more than how it looks.

Then marriage. Harrison hopped in on this one, and his answer about what he thought before working at Marriage Helper versus what he understands now was better than anything I could have said.

Then narcissism, which might be the most misused word in relationships right now. Narcissistic personality disorder shows up in less than two percent of the population. So no, your spouse probably isn't one. But in another sense, everyone is, because narcissism lives on the same spectrum as self-esteem. Too little and you become a doormat. Too much and you can do no wrong.

It's nuanced. Most true things are.

And then they turned it around and asked what most people think about me. Drop yours in the comments. I'll tell you if you're right.
