Description
Hisense has unveiled its first RGB-Mini LED gaming monitor, the 32UX, featuring a 32-inch screen size, 4K UHD resolution, 180Hz refresh rate, 2304 local dimming zones and up to 2000 nits of peak brightness.
But there’s one major difference between the impressive prototype I saw at IFA 2026 and the version Hisense eventually plans to sell to European consumers.
The Hisense 32UX uses an RGB-Mini LED backlight that can independently control red, green and blue LEDs within each optical module, potentially delivering purer colours, higher brightness and improved power efficiency compared with conventional Mini LED backlights.
In this video, I take a first look at the Hisense 32UX, explain how its RGB-Mini LED technology works, and discuss why I personally prefer the glossy screen finish on this prototype to the Obsidian Glare-Free coating planned for the retail version.
At present, the Hisense 32UX is only confirmed for the Chinese market, although Hisense is considering bringing the monitor to other regions including Europe and the USA.
