Ratel full test: how the new exotic AR from Echoes of Central Park really works, tested on the shooting range and in Heroic Retaliation, the math behind the Voracious talent, and how it compares to Lexington and St. Elmo's.
Quick reference:
• Voracious: more amplified damage the more of the enemy's effective HP (armor + health) is gone. 0% amp at 0 stacks.
• 100 weapon hits = 1 stack, max 4. Each stack: +20% max amp and +15% reload speed (80% amp / 60% reload at 4 stacks).
• Stop shooting or reloading for ~7 s and you start losing stacks (1 every 4 s). Swapping weapons removes all stacks.
• The circle next to your crosshair can show 40% on a fresh enemy, but the first bullet still does base damage.
• Breaking armor counts too: armor hits climb as the armor breaks.
• On paper (my build, estimate): at 4 stacks the Ratel out-damages Lexington with Killer and St. Elmo's when you focus one enemy from full to dead.
• Works with regular gear, no Prototype needed (Central Park normalizes your gear).
• How to get it: your first Contaminated clear in Central Park gives it guaranteed, after that it's a chance.
Builds from the video: 4pc Striker + 2pc Palisade (crit) and 4pc Striker + Overdogs + Equalizer (full red).
