How to get the Ratel exotic AR in Echoes of Central Park, and everything about the Guardians: how to spawn all 6, how to beat every single one, the build that kills them in seconds, and the new Apex Protocol gear set.
Quick reference:
• 6 Guardians: the Howl Pulse boss ends the Central Park main mission (and unlocks the game mode). The other 5 live in the Central Park mode: Corrosive Trap, Leech Hive, Blackout Seeker, Trophy System and Gas Bomber.
• Spawn: find the lair in a zone, kill NPCs until the meter on your shoulder is full, wound the Guardian, reach the lair before the timer runs out, clear the NPCs there and he spawns. Kill him and you unlock his skill.
• Every Guardian has the same weakness: destroy his skill, then burst him in the damage window.
• Build: Prima Donna + 4 Aces & Eights + Iron Will + Melon Baller. Normal gear works, your prototype gear is normalized in Central Park.
• Kill all 5 and Contaminated unlocks. Your first full clear in Contaminated gives the Ratel guaranteed, after that it's a chance per run.
• Every finished run: 8 exotic components + 3 exotic caches. My runs took about 15–20 minutes.
• Ratel (Voracious): more amplified damage the more armor and health the enemy has lost, 1 stack per 100 weapon hits, max 4.
