Description
FULL VIDEO IS NOW LIVE! 🎣
If I could only keep one fly specifically for bluegill...
I'd choose the Bully Bluegill.
Not because it's the most realistic fly in my box.
And not because it's complicated.
I'd choose it because of how it fishes.
The weight is built into the back of the fly, causing it to sink tail-first while those rubber legs stay suspended above it.
As those legs slowly flutter on the fall...
Bluegill just can't seem to leave it alone.
Honestly, most of my strikes come before I ever even move the fly.
The full video is available now on YouTube if you'd like to see the other four flies that made my hypothetical five-fly box.
Hooks I use: Risen Fly. Most of the tying materials I use come from J. Stockard. Both have been great to work with and I genuinely recommend checking them out if you tie your own flies.
