On April 11, 2026, The Sanctuary for Independent Media in Troy, NY and MDOCS Co-Creation Initiative at Skidmore College presented "Seeds of Power." The event featured the work of two Indigenous filmmakers of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy: director of "Kanenon:we – Original Seeds" Katsitsionni Fox, Kanienkeháka (Mohawk) Nation Bear Clan, and Michelle Schenandoah, Onʌyota':aka (Oneida) Nation Wolf Clan, producer of the "Rematriated Voices" podcast. The screening, was followed by a panel discussion which included Kawenniiosta Jock (Wolf Clan of the Kanienkeháka People) of Skywoman's Forever Farm in Middleburgh, NY and was moderated by Ellie Irons from NATURE Lab. Their conversation centered topics ranging from Rematriation to those sources of power which strengthen their communities, inspire their filmmaking, and inform their Indigenous-led regenerative agricultural projects.
