On June 7th 2025, The Sanctuary for Independent Media presented Be The Dance Party! The event, an extension of the Be The Media! workshop series, brought activists and artists who use joy, in all of its expressions, as a tactic for resistance through parades, dance parties, and music performances. The panel discussion was moderated by artist and activist Angela Beallor, and featured: Hana Van Der Kolk of The Flagsss Day Collective; renowned Albany DJ Nate Da Great; CEO of Collectiveffort, Patrick Harris Jr. The talk was followed by an epic, day-time, family friendly dance party with music DJed by Intell Hayesfield, a DJ featured on The No More Genre Show which airs Friday and Saturday nights from 10pm-1am on Sanctuary Radio WOOC 105.3.
