Join Me in Interviewing Sarah Nichols, Principal of Hunt ISD
Hunt was one of the most severely impacted areas of Kerr County during the recent tragedy—ground zero for several beloved children’s camps, including Camp Mystic.
As a parent, I see the heart of our community here in Houston every morning when I drop my children off at Our Savior Lutheran. I see the principal there, standing outside with a warm smile, greeting every child by name. That deep care and connection is something I came to recognize in Sarah Nichols as well.
Sarah, the principal of Hunt Independent School District, leads with strength, grace, and an unshakable love for her students. In our full-length feature documentary, River of Angels, we will learn more about Sarah, her school, and the 200 children she cares for—about their loss, their healing, and their journey forward. The RV parks, the first responders, the camps and the community will share their story of a day we will never forget.
I was honored to sit down with Sarah and am blessed to share just a small part of her story with you today. River of Angels is a 120-minute feature film that will premiere in select theaters before streaming worldwide.
Our hope is simple: to honor, to never forget.
