Description
The Nokta Legend 2 LD22 9-inch coil is finally here! I'm taking it on its first real metal detecting hunt in a North Carolina field with Civil War history, then testing it against buried Civil War relics to see how Field Mode, target IDs, and different frequencies perform.
In this video, I put the new LD22 coil through its paces in a freshly harvested agricultural field. With plenty of aluminum trash, iron, bullets, and a few coins to contend with, it's a great opportunity to see how this coil handles real-world detecting conditions.
After the hunt, I head back to my test garden to see how the Legend 2 responds to Civil War relics that have been buried for over a year, including:
Civil War eagle cuff and coat buttons
Civil War three-ringer bullet
Lead round balls
J-hook
Other buried targets
Here's where things get interesting!
I compare the Legend 2's M1, M2, and M3 multi-frequency options against several single frequencies. One small cuff button produces some surprising results, especially at lower single frequencies!
I also share my actual Field Mode settings, including sensitivity, recovery speed, bottle cap rejection, and the target ID (VDI) numbers I'm seeing on buried relics.
