In this video, recorded during the NSSF’s town hall on suicide prevention at the 2026 SHOT Show, Mike talks candidly about Suicide in the Gun Industry.
Having been in the industry most of his adult life, he had seen how the industry ignored the issue for decades. Thanks in no small part to WTTA, things have changed pretty dramatically over the last 5-10 years. Many firearms manufacturers now support and participate in WTTA’s programs that encourage proactive mental health strategies for gun owners, cultural competency education for mental health practitioners wanting to work with gun owners and various other efforts.
