Israeli heavy machinery demolishes five houses, reportedly built without permits, in the village of Biddu in the so-called Area C of the Israeli-occupied West Bank.
"More than one hundred and five people were living in the five houses that were demolished. These people were displaced, leaving them without shelter and homes," says Beddu's former mayor.
Israel regularly carries out demolitions of what it says are illegal structures built by Palestinians in east Jerusalem and the occupied West Bank.
