Description
Thankful Thursday. October 22nd. Today is THE DAY. The 2026 outdoor season officially comes to a close:
HOW do you know when your outdoor cannabis season is DONE? When do you make the final cut? How do you say goodbye to the garden?
Here is how I am finishing the 2026 outdoor season with gratitude, grace, and the final tops coming down.
The Signs It Is Time to Finish:
🌱 Overnight temps hitting 0°C to 2°C
🌱 Rain forecast heavy for days ahead
🌱 Some plants starting to die back naturally
🌱 Last day of sun before the shift
🌱 Final tops have reached full density
🌱 Purpling complete, colors locked in
🌱 Your gut knows — pattern recognition is power
"When you take things to the area and you go past that point — that is when we get into the learning process."
Day 9 — The Final Cut Status:
🌱 MediMac — final new tops cut today
🌱 MedTainer (strain) — chocolate tie cross with old-school MediKush, STUNNING
🌱 MediTie (MediChocolate Thai) — strong finish
🌱 Some bottoms stayed small (season done)
🌱 Umbrellas CLOSED the deal (game-changer for 2026)
🌱 Dustin may stop by — collab continues
🌱 Transition to indoor begins
"I am so ever grateful and thankful for the changes we made here. We grew together. Thank you for the 2026 outdoor season — with blessing and with grace."
What the 2026 Outdoor Season Taught Me:
✅ Umbrellas / canopies = season-saver in cold-wet climate
✅ Strain selection = everything (climate picks genetics)
✅ Pushing past the point = where real learning happens
✅ Pattern recognition compounds year over year
✅ Second-crop pushing is real and viable
✅ Chocolate Tie crosses can hold up in BC
✅ 42 years in — still learning something new every October
The 2026 Lineup Final Verdict:
🏆 MediMac — 2026 WINNER, outdoor flagship candidate for 2028 Berfelo Genetics
🌱 MediTie (MediChocolate Thai) — storm-tested, chocolate-tie-cross standout
🌱 MedTainer (strain) — surprised with a strong finish
❌ MediKush — retired to indoor-only (mold-prone outdoors)
🌱 Rockstar + MKU — in-ground, still finishing for potential Christmas buds
Transition to Indoor for 2027:
🌱 Reversion clones in the grow room
🌱 Pheno hunt option open
🌱 2027 systems locked in from this season
🌱 Indoor content pillar opens tomorrow
🌱 First Bounce + fresh frozen hash coming
🌱 2028 Berfelo Genetics narrative building
Coming TOMORROW on Fun Friday:
📹 Hang-dry room update
📹 Fresh frozen washing (bubble hash in motion)
📹 Indoor transition content begins
📹 First Bounce prep
