Ergonomic wood grips with fluted sides fit perfectly inside the U-shaped grip section of bent metal rod slingshots.
This video will show you how to make an ergonomic grip with beech wood using fairly common tools. If you have a router table to create the fluted sides of the wood grip, all the better. Shaping very much depends on your hand size and personal preferences. A wider grip surface distributes draw force and thus makes it easier to shoot with very powerful flat bands, which is the purpose of the slingshot shown here.
