Saunders "CLOD-POPPERS" is frangible .43 caliber (11 mm) spherical EARTH AMMO for slingshot shooters, which fragments when impacting hard objects, and thus reduces dangerous ricochets, which are common with regular steel slingshot ammo.
You should nevertheless always wear safety glasses when shooting slingshots, as unexpected things do happen at times: even this type of ammo can ricochet off trees, etc.
As demonstrated in the video, "Clod-Poppers" earth ammo can yield tight groups on the target with the right slingshot shooting techniques, and shatters quite dramatically when hitting something like a stone slab. Use some corrugated cardboard with a soft backstop, and this ammo becomes reusable: a definite advantage. The larger size of "Clod-Poppers" gives them more "oomph" and accuracy further downrange than other similar products from China.
