Over three million people visited downtown Seattle across the city's six FIFA World Cup match days, according to June data published by the Downtown Seattle Association (DSA).
This represents a 17% increase in foot traffic compared to the same six days in 2025, DSA said. The early data only reflects domestic visitors, not international, so final numbers are expected to increase.
"I think people want to be together, they want to be in the heart of their city," said Jon Scholes, president and CEO of DSA, "whether they've got a ticket to get in or not."
Each of Seattle's match days featuring the U.S. Men's National Team saw high daily visitor numbers, with over 580,000 people downtown when the U.S. played Australia and more than 543,000 people when the U.S. lost to Belgium.
