A piece of the World Trade Center will make a stop at T-Mobile Park in Seattle on Friday, as part of a nationwide tour commemorating the 25th anniversary of 9/11 and the many lives tragically lost.
Tunnel to Towers Foundation is transporting a 21-foot, 16,900-pound steel beam recovered from the South Tower of the World Trade Center across 35 cities and 21 states.
The steel beam is expected to arrive at the Hot Corner on Occidental Ave. outside of T-Mobile Park with a police and fire escort at 4:30 p.m. Friday.
There will be a public viewing and photo opportunities from 4:35 p.m. to 5 p.m.
