Clock change creates time-zone discrepancy for Amtrak Cascades, Victoria Clipper riders

KOMO News Guide Today

Description

The clocks are falling back on Sunday but in British Columbia they won’t, which creates a new time-zone wrinkle for travelers between Washington and Canada.

Washington will switch to Pacific Standard Time at 2 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, when clocks move back one hour.

British Columbia plans to keep its clocks on year-round daylight saving time, leaving the province one hour ahead of Washington through the winter.

That difference will show up on Amtrak Cascades tickets for trips between Seattle and Vancouver, British Columbia.
