► In this medical case study review, the speaker addresses the critical long-term side effects of cancer treatments on a female patient's fertility and sexual health. Chemotherapy agents like cyclophosphamide can severely impact ovarian function, leading to hypoestrogenism, ovarian insufficiency, or complete ovarian failure.

🌸 Fertility Preservation: Ideally, patients should receive counseling regarding fertility preservation before undergoing treatment. Options include oocyte cryopreservation or embryo cryopreservation.

🌸 Pregnancy Planning: For patients who have already completed treatment and are taking tamoxifen, it is crucial to stop the medication one to two months before attempting to conceive.

🌸 Managing Sexual Health: Due to low estrogen levels caused by ovarian damage, patients frequently experience dyspareunia, or painful intercourse. Because hormonal treatments are contraindicated for these patients, water-based lubricants are recommended as the ideal alternative to manage sexual dysfunction.
