Thought this was funny how I tamed three cheetahs the same way the Chris Pratt did in Jurassic Park using hand gestures. The real story is that these yearling cubs were not used to me with lots of hisses, snarls, growls, dirty looks and approaches, but I worked with them for weeks getting them used to me. My hands up in front of their faces is a reminder of the hand feeding I was doing. I let them lick the meat juices from my fingers and hands after hand feeding them and that is what calmed them down instantly. Seeing my hands was a reminder of the hand feeding I did for weeks.
