Nelson Dellis is a six-time USA Memory Champion. He has attempted Everest three times, each time tied to raising awareness for Alzheimer's disease, the condition that took his grandmother. He has also survived a rockslide on the Matterhorn. In Chinese, all of it is 爬山 (爬山, pá shān): 爬 is to crawl, 山 is mountain. The same word covers your local hill and the roof of the world. And 上 and 下, up and down, build everything: cars, planes, mountains. Two characters. The whole system.
