Description
Woke up at 5am to see the Trevi Fountain at sunrise to try and beat the crowds 🥹 since February 2026, tourists now have to pay an entrance fee of €2 to be at the lower ground of the Trevi Fountain but… that doesn’t stop the crowds past 7am… so I woke up at 5am to try and see it early! I always love waking up for sunrise and seeing Rome so early made it all worth it.
You have to pay from 9am so if you’re an early bird, I recommend going just before sunrise (ideally even 4/5am if you want it completely empty!)
Met the loveliest couple who took my photos and videos and there was only a handful of people with no queuing needed! Ahead of Euro Summer, if you’re looking to fulfil your Lizzie McGuire in Italy moment (hehe) at the Fontana Di Trevi, then head down early to skip the queue and avoid the crowds! Right, time for cappuccino AND an espresso and a cornetti!
