Description
The woven wrap is the most versatile carrier there is, and also the one with the steepest learning curve. In this video I show you how to tell a woven wrap apart from a stretchy one, what the confusing sizing numbers actually mean, and a basic front wrap cross carry from start to finish.
🎓 This video is part of my free course, Your Babywearing Basics. It walks you through every carrier type so you can understand your options properly → https://www.babywearingtraining.com/courses/your-babywearing-basics/
After watching, you'll understand woven wrap sizing, what suits which body and situation, and what a good front wrap cross carry actually looks like.
✅ Safety check, every time:
- Close enough to kiss (baby high on your chest)
- Chin off the chest, room to breathe
- Face always in view
- Knees higher than the bum, back supported
A couple of things worth knowing: the weight limit on the label means it has been tested to that weight, not that it will fail beyond it. And once you're done babywearing, a woven wrap makes a brilliant hammock or swing, so it's never really finished being useful.
Once front carrying feels easy and you start thinking about the back, that's exactly where my course picks up:
