If God is all-powerful, why doesn't He stop disasters like this?
When tragedy strikes, it's one of the hardest questions Christians are asked, and I don't think we should dismiss it with an easy answer.
What happened in Nepal and Tibet isn't just another headline to us. One of our own DLM team members lives in Nepal, which made this hit especially close to home.
Behind every statistic is a real person. A soul.
Someone's child. Someone's parent. Someone's husband, wife, brother, sister, or friend.
Every single one made in the image of God.
And in moments like these, people understandably ask:
Where was God?
If He is good… why is there suffering?
If He is loving… how could He allow this?
And if He is powerful enough to stop it… why didn't He?
These are difficult questions, but the Bible doesn't leave us without answers.
When natural disasters strike, how do we reconcile suffering with a loving God?
This video addresses the difficult questions surrounding the recent tragedy in Nepal and Tibet, exploring faith in the face of loss. We examine the biblical perspective on why God allows pain and how to find hope when it feels like He is silent.
