Description
France has been rocked by some of its worst riots in years, with hundreds of thousands taking to the streets across the country.
This is a warning for Canada.
The unrest began in France with students angry over school conditions, and it has grown into a much bigger movement about the cost of living, the cost of housing, a lack of economic opportunity, and public services falling apart. People feel the cost of living has gotten completely out of proportion with what they earn, and nobody in power is listening.
To me, this is insane, because Canadians are heading down the exact same road.
Housing prices are out of reach, everyday costs keep climbing, wages aren't keeping up, and our infrastructure is struggling to support the people already here. This video argues that mass immigration is a major driver of these problems, and that it needs to stop before the same anger boils over here.
It also argues that the people in power are letting this happen because they benefit from it, getting richer while ordinary people fall further behind.
This is about listening to people before things reach a breaking point, putting everyday citizens first, and not ignoring the warning signs we're already seeing.
At some point, we have to take what's happening in France seriously, before it's happening here.
