In this video, I finally install the new Velit gasoline heater system in my van build and walk through the entire setup from mounting and fuel routing to testing and troubleshooting. My old propane system worked, but finding propane on the road became more of a hassle than I wanted to deal with. This new gasoline heater runs directly from the same fuel I already carry, making life on the road a whole lot simpler.
I cover how I mounted the heater, routed the intake and exhaust, installed a secondary fuel tank, tested the system, and solved issues with air in the fuel line. I also talk about why I chose a gasoline heater over diesel, how the controller and app work, and some important things to think about if you plan to install one in your own van build.
The van interior is still a work in progress, but this heating system is now fully functional and ready for colder trips ahead.
