Outdoor Explorers Worth The Rough Road White Pocket

Description

Today we head off the beaten path to explore one of the most unique landscapes in the American Southwest. After airing down the tires and navigating miles of rough desert roads, we make our way to White Pocket, a stunning rock formation near the Vermilion Cliffs that feels almost otherworldly.

Along the journey, we share the realities of off road travel, trail navigation, traveling with dogs, and what it takes to reach remote destinations like this. Once we arrive, we spend time exploring colorful sandstone formations, swirling rock patterns, hidden pockets, and incredible desert scenery that make White Pocket a dream destination for photographers, hikers, and outdoor enthusiasts.

While this trip turned into more of a scouting adventure than a photography expedition, it confirmed one thing: White Pocket deserves a return visit during the best light of sunrise and sunset. If you enjoy van camping, remote travel, off road exploration, and discovering hidden places across the West, this is an adventure you will not want to miss.

Thanks for coming along, and I will catch you again outside.
