Description
US President Donald Trump has confirmed fresh strikes on Iran, reportedly targeting Qeshm Island near the Strait of Hormuz, as tensions escalate across the Gulf.
Meanwhile, drones have been intercepted over Saudi Arabia, and commercial vessels have come under attack in the region.
Despite the escalation, Washington and Tehran are pursuing a possible agreement, with Qatar helping mediate talks.
Iran has also indicated it could reopen the Strait of Hormuz within 48 hours, but only if its conditions are met.
