TV Cidade (Fortaleza) is a television station based in Fortaleza, Ceará, Brazil.
Launched as TV Uirapuru on 30th August 1978, it was named after the radio station in the same city (Radio Uirapuru, 1956-), and was an affiliate of Rede Bandeirantes for almost a decade, which continued as the TV station renamed to TV Cidade in June 1981. They became an affiliate of SBT in 1987 which saw a new logo be introduced, consisting of the letter C in a blue circle; that would also serve as their parent company's logo, known as Grupo Cidade de Comunicação. Some of their idents from the 1990s would feature the Grupo Cidade text instead of TV Cidade, although the latter was still mentioned by various announcers in said idents. A local version of the news show "Aqui Agora" was among their popular programmes at the time.
In 1998, TV Cidade left SBT for Record, and they are still affiliated with them nearly three decades later. This change saw another new logo and ident introduced for the TV station, except Grupo Cidade kept their Eighties logo until the early 2020s. TV Cidade's first logo features a globe on the letter C, and although it has been altered several times since then (e.g. the latest logo from 2018 was designed in keeping with the 2016 Record logo), the concept has remained unchanged. Since 2020, their TV shows have frequently appeared on YouTube, and some of these include Balanço Geral Ceará, Cidade 190 (City 190) and Power Couple.
