The Tarran L1m is a premium longtail cargo e-bike built around smooth mid-drive power, serious carrying capacity, and one of the most advanced technology packages we’ve seen on a cargo bike.
In this review, we test its speed, range, hill climbing, braking, ride quality, passenger capability, comfort, and connected features to see whether its roughly $4,200 price tag is justified.
The L1m uses a custom mid-drive motor with up to 100Nm of torque, carries up to 231 lbs on its rear rack, and delivered 70 miles of range in Eco and 41.5 miles in Turbo during our testing. It also produced the shortest stopping distance of any e-bike we’ve tested to date.
Add in a touchscreen display, 4G/LTE location tracking, NFC security, app connectivity, a locking kickstand, extensive fit adjustment, and the ability to stand vertically for storage, and the Tarran L1m offers a seriously premium cargo-bike experience.
