👉 Full written review:

The GoTrax F3 is a budget-friendly fat-tire folding e-bike built for riders who want more comfort, more capability, and more adventure potential without spending a fortune.

In this review, we put the GoTrax F3 through Electric Bike Report’s real-world testing process, including speed, range, hill climbing, braking, and ride quality, to see how it stacks up against other fat-tire folding e-bikes.

The F3 features a 500W rear hub motor, 672Wh battery, torque sensor, Class 2 and Class 3 optionality, 5 pedal assist levels, twist throttle, hydraulic disc brakes, 20x4” knobby fat tires, front suspension, Shimano 7-speed drivetrain, integrated lights, folding frame, and several included extras like mirrors, a phone holder, lock, seat bag, and tire levers.

In this review, we cover:

⚡ Speed testing in Class 2 and Class 3 modes
🔋 Real-world range testing
⛰ Hill climbing on Devil’s Backbone
🛑 Brake testing from 20 MPH
🚲 Ride quality and comfort
🌲 Light off-road capability
📦 Folding design and portability
💰 Value compared to other GoTrax folders

The F3 impressed us with strong braking, solid hill climbing, a natural-feeling torque sensor, and better range than GoTrax’s smaller folding models. It also adds more comfort and versatility thanks to its fat tires, front suspension, larger battery, and included accessories.

It is not perfect. PAS 1 has a very low assist threshold, making it less useful for most riders, and the 20x4” tires add rolling resistance. But overall, the GoTrax F3 delivers a strong mix of comfort, range, capability, and value for riders looking for an affordable fat-tire folding e-bike.

Watch the full review to see how the GoTrax F3 performed in our testing.
