Today we’re taking a first look at the most powerful Mini PC that AMD has ever built—the upgraded Ryzen AI Halo Mini Workstation! Powered by the new Gorgon Halo APU, the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495, this palm-sized beast packs 16 Zen 5 cores, Radeon 8065S graphics, and a massive 192GB of unified LPDDR5x memory. Even better, you can dedicate up to 160GB of that memory directly to the iGPU as VRAM, allowing it to run massive 300B+ parameter AI models locally!
In this video, we unbox the unit, install Windows 11 Pro, check out the 120W sustained TDP performance, and put it head-to-head against the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 in synthetic benchmarks, local LLM AI inference, and 1440p AAA gaming.
