We headed out for what was supposed to be a simple road day… and it went sideways fast. High diesel prices, high food prices, and Washington’s truck tabs doubling this year — it all hit at once, and we went on a bit of a rant.
After regrouping, we drove into the Quinault Rain Forest so Scottie could pick up his America the Beautiful Senior Pass — a huge help for saving money on camping in National Parks and Forests across the U.S.
We toured the Falls Creek Campground, explored the forest roads, and found something we didn’t expect… dumped garbage everywhere and even a burned‑out RV left on the side of the road.
