Rainy First Day Back on the Road — Willaby Campground, Bike Ride & A Little Couple Banter

Description

Our first day back on the road for our 4‑week camping trip along the most north‑west stretch of Highway 101 came with rain, tiny‑camper chaos, and a little playful couple banter.

We found a site at Willaby Campground, rode our bikes through the rain to the ranger station, and tried to figure out the new cashless reservation kiosk. By the time we got back to camp to put our slip on the post, we were soaked and laughing about the whole thing — including me teasing Scottie about getting a rosy during our tiny argument.

We planned to explore more, but with the heavy rain and the camper still unorganized, we decided to stay in, settle into the smaller truck camper, and make a warm unstuffed cabbage casserole for our first night. It’s a big shift from the Lance… and a huge shift from the 5th wheel — but we’re easing back into the rhythm of small‑space camping.

the road — tiny camper, wet bike ride, and yes… a little couple banter. I teased Scottie about getting a rosy and we ended up laughing about it all night.
