On this “Friday Patreon Plus” guitar lesson I’ll take the “D” Minor Soul /R&B chord progression (covered in the Sep. 17 Thursday Hang lesson), and I’ll connect into it melodically using the “D” Blues Scale.
Even though this scale is typically used for progressions like a 12-bar Blues, we’re going to do something different with it by applying its sound over a minor tonality Soul R&B riff.
To get started, perform a quick review of the “D” Minor Soul R&B chord progression featured in the Sep. 17 Thursday Hang.
